Remark : These two oil paintings show Ong Bee Thye and his wife Tan Siew Ewe in the early 1920s. Both came from China as immigrants, Ong Bee Thye arriving in 1904 and subsequently returning to China to marry and bring back his wife to Tapah in Perak.
