Perak Tourism - Ipoh, The City That Tin Built - A Guide To The Heritage Sites And Buildings Of Perak's State Capital
This free Ipoh heritage trail map is no longer available and has been superseded by at least two other heritage maps produced in 2009.
Published by the Perak State Government and copyrght 1999 Janus Print and Resources, the map was Researched and compiled by Abdur-Razaqq Lubis, with photography and layout by Khoo Salma Nasution with illustrations by Allan Woong and Chuah Chee Ching and artwork by Cecilia Mak. The words were written by Abdur-Razak Lubis and Khoo Salma Nasution and proof read by Dato' Saleena Yahya Isa.
Apart from the heritage map itself, 73 buildings on the route of Old and new Town are described in detail, while on the reverse a range of subjects are discussed from The History, Education, Motoring, The Press, The Streets, Malay Settlements, the Japanese in Ipoh and Movies. There is also an interesting section of travellers' impressions of Ipoh from 1898 to 1971.
Out of print, this is indeed a "Collector's Item".
A printable version of this map is available at one of the links below. (ipohWorld original e-Book) Due to its size ,this map has been separated into two separate pdf documents, front and back. Please bear with us as it would take some time to load.
