Location : Canning Garden, Ipoh, Perak
Estimated Year : 1964
Media Type : Photograph

Remark :

These pictures were scanned from 35mm Kodachrome slides. According to our donor, the pictures show the new ACS Primary Branch School (later known as the Ho Seng Ong Methodist School) newly built in Canning Garden. Initially church services were held in the school from November 1964 until the Kesselring Memorial Hall was built in 1966. Subsequently the Canning Garden Methodist Church building followed in April 1967.

The school was later known as  SK Ho Seng Ong Methodist. We thank Ipoh Remembered for the pdf document, which is an excerpt from Teerath Ram's annual report. Teerath Ram was once the Principal of Anglo Chinese School (ACS Ipoh).

We thank Ann (daughter of Ralph Kesselring) for these pictures.
